Fidelity Investments Review. Quick Finance Assistance
- 01/28/2019
Fidelity Investments lets you access 70+ years of the company’s financial experience in your hands. Here’s a full review of this app.
Interface
The main attributes that I find really attractive about the app for Android devices and iOS gadgets are the simple design and straightforward user interface. I can personalize my home screen by choosing from nine customizable screens, letting me access any important information quickly and easily. The app also offers a variety of tile-based options while allowing me to use the heat map view.
I would award the design and user interface of the app a score of 10/10.
Key Features
With this app, I can do all sorts of things including research, utilizing the trading tools, and also checking out analysis in real-time. Additionally, the app lets me access my brokerage and workplace savings accounts and further allows me to trade ETFs, stocks, options, or even mutual funds. Regardless of my current location, I can still conduct my financial matters. What’s more, I also have access to real-time quotes and can enjoy features like the mobile check deposit, charting tools, and the BillPay option.
I use the Face ID and Touch ID on my Apple device, enabling me to conveniently and easily access my account information without necessarily having to log in. I also don’t need to have my device with me to see whatever’s moving the markets from the app. I can still get alerts and view quotes in real time on my Apple Watch.
Recently, the app underwent some updates, and the latest version has enhanced the user interface to offer better overall performance. It also comes with a couple of bug fixes, so the regular automatic updates are a plus. Notably, there are no in-app purchases.
The Fidelity Investments app is compatible with Android and iOS devices. It requires Android version 5.0 and over, and the App Store version works with the iPod touch, iPad and iPhone running iOS 10.3 and above.
The features score a straight 10/10.
Usability
The iOS and Google Android app is basic and easy to use. However, I’ve experienced a couple of lags, and the tool doesn’t send push notifications anymore. I’ve also encountered difficulty when trying to pay my bills, and I get an error popup whenever I request for my balance history. By addressing these issues, it will be in a position to be regarded as the leading banking app.
Here, the app scores a 9/10.
Bottom Line
Despite the significant setbacks, the iOS and Android mobile app has lots of features that are worthwhile. A slight improvement on the features offered and IPA/APK stability will go a long way. Still, I like what the app brings to the table, and I recommend it.
