Full Review of LinkedIn: The Best App For Professional Networking?

LinkedIn is a well-known social platform for professional networking that allows you not only to find professionals but also to keep up with the news in your field.

The app looks pretty much like the website, so if you’re an active user of, the interface will look familiar. For those of you who see the app for the first time, it will probably seem intuitive and easy-to-use as well. There are 5 panels such as your profile, messages, your network, and so on. Also, there are lots of settings which I recommend you to explore to make your experience with LinkedIn more effective and comfortable. I give 10/10 for interface and design.

Key Features

LinkedIn lets you find new people for your professional network and stay in touch with co-workers, business partners, employees, freelancers, and so on. You can add a person to your contacts, and if they receive the invitation, they will be in your network. The app also shows you the people you may know which is pretty useful: due to this feature I met several people who are currently working with me.

Users’ profiles contain information about their professional experience, your mutual connections, their activities, and so on. Before adding someone to your network, you can explore the profile and decide whether you’re interested in working with this person or not.

The LinkedIn app shows people who viewed your profile. Some may consider it as a con, but I find it rather useful as it let me see how many people are interested in me and my profile. LinkedIn gets 9/10 for its features.

You can download the LinkedIn app on iPhone or iPad, although these «additional» apps that I mentioned before are compatible with Android as well. That way, users with Android-based phones still can use LinkedIn for job research, learning, recruiting, and so on. And you still have a good old desktop version, so LinkedIn connects people indeed

When I decided to download LinkedIn, it turned out that there are several separate apps for different purposes such as job research, keeping up with the news, looking for coworkers, and so on. I believe it’s more convenient to have a separate app for one particular purpose since this may save your time and energy for actual work. Although the original LinkedIn app itself is pretty useful as well, so which one – or ones – to use is up to you. 9/10 for convenience and performance

Bottom Line

LinkedIn is a great networking tool when it comes to professional use. It can be useful not only for people who are looking for a job or employees but also for all of you who want to keep up with the latest updates in your professional field, stay in touch with business partners, and present yourself as a professional. Despite its minor cons, I find LinkedIn very useful, and I would recommend it for all of you who are serious about your career.
