The Witcher® 3: Wild Hunt

It was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on 19 May 2015. 

The game is the third installment in the Witcher series and follows the story of Geralt of Rivia, who sets out on a long journey to find his former lover, Yennefer, and to defeat the Wild Hunt.

Gameplay

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is an open-world action role-playing game set in a fantasy world. The player controls Geralt of Rivia, a Witcher, who is hunting down the Wild Hunt in order to protect the world from their evil. Geralt is able to freely explore the world, completing main and side quests at his leisure. 

The game features a dynamic day-night cycle and weather system which affect the gameplay. For instance, enemies are stronger at night and certain plants can only be harvested at certain times of the day.

The game's combat system is based on three main pillars: signs, swordsmanship, and alchemy. Signs are magical attacks that Geralt can use to damage enemies. Swordsmanship is based on a three-tiered system where the player can upgrade Geralt's fighting style by using better swords, armor, and bombs. 

Alchemy is used to create potions, oils, and bombs. Potions increase Geralt's stats, oils improve his swordsmanship, and bombs deal damage to groups of enemies. The game also features a number of minigames, including horse racing, card games, and Gwent, a mini-game based on the Witcher card game.

Graphics

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a beautiful game. The world is richly detailed, and the graphics are some of the best I've ever seen. Geralt's character model is especially impressive, and I often found myself just stopping to look at the world around me. The game ran smoothly on my PC, with no noticeable graphical glitches or slowdown.

Controls

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's controls are mostly standard for an action RPG. Geralt can move around with the WASD keys, and use his sword and signs with the mouse. The game also features a number of hotkeys that can be customized to the player's liking. I found the controls to be responsive and easy to use.

The Witcher 3’s controls are tight and responsive. Geralt moves exactly how you want him to, and the combat is satisfying and brutal. The controls are easy to learn but difficult to master, and there’s a lot of depth to the combat system.

Replayability

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a massive game, and I easily spent over 100 hours playing it. There are a number of side quests and activities available, as well as a New Game Plus mode that allows players to carry over their weapons and items from a previous playthrough. 

The Witcher 3 is an absolutely massive game, and there’s a ton of content to keep you busy. You can easily spend 100 hours or more exploring the world and completing everything it has to offer. The game's story is also quite enjoyable, and I found myself wanting to play through it again after finishing it.
