Facebook Messenger Launches Emoji/Soundmoji Search

One of the recent updates to Facebook’s Messenger platform provides for easy emoji search. With this improvement, members of the community generating an average of well over two billion messages a day in the highly popular app will be able to save time responding to a friend’s story with the help of emojis.

The new functionality is part of the feature that enables you to tap a message and send a tiny yet meaningful picture in response. Frequent Messenger users have probably noticed that the bar from which you have to choose the right emoji to fit the situation is longish. Luckily, the update has brought about a search bar to make the process much quicker. When you have found the emoji that truly resonates with you, you can assign it to be your standard double-tap reaction. Say, why not replace the standard fire picture with a juicy slice of pizza to show how much you like something your buddy just sent to you? The new emoji search function makes diversity much more easily accessible on Messenger.

For those who aren’t quite happy with the graphic representation of human emotions, the Soundmoji Messenger feature is a great way to add a unique touch to their messaging style. The term obviously refers to the audio aspect of emojis. If you haven’t discovered the opportunity yet, click on the usual smiley icon in the chat box that you use to access emojis. From there, you can select the option marked with a loudspeaker icon. Press it and click one of the three dozen most popular emojis to hear its sound. You might be surprised and/or delighted to hear some of those quote TV series such as Brooklyn 99 and Bridgerton! Musical sounds are included as well, along with the more obvious (yet hilarious) ones like bleating for a goat.
