Facebook’s F8 Developer Conference Is Back in a Revamped, Covid-Proof Format

  • Samanta Blumberg

Canceled last year due to the Covid-19 outbreak, Facebook’s annual conference for developers is to make a triumphant comeback on June 2, 2021. With the majority of the Coronavirus pandemic restrictions still in place, this year’s event, which is dubbed F8 Refresh, will feature a revamped – one-day, virtual-only – format. The registration has already been opened, and all interested can sign up.

F8 Refresh is going to be a lower-scale event compared to the usual 5,000+ participants thing. Another major difference to previous years will be that Mark Zuckerberg will not be doing his traditional keynote address. Instead, Konstantinos Papamiltiadis – Facebook’s VP of Platform Partnerships – will deliver the opening presentation and provide insights into some of the new features and tools the platform will be getting this year.

Are you planning to attend the online conference this year? Do you hope for any big announcements to be made at the event? Let us know what you think in the comments section below! Also, feel free to share the post with others if you believe it might interest them.
