Genshin Impact: What to Expect from the 2.8 Update

The next patch for Genshin Impact, named Summertime Odyssey, is already here. What can the fans expect from this? What new heroes, locations, and quests are there? HoYoVerse has a lot to offer to players, and this time we see at least one of already familiar locations return. The events will not last long, so reschedule your days to catch up with the updates.

Summertime Odyssey has a lot to offer to keep you away from the outdoor sun, offering virtual one instead. This time, the team of Fischl, Kazuha, Mona, and Xinyan sets off for a new adventure that takes place on a beach where there are many puzzles to solve. The place, though, is already being  watched by Fatui agents, which promises a cool network of adventures.

The main feature of the events to come is the return to Golden Apple Archipelago. This area will make a return, but not for long: with the next patch, it will be gone. While it’s here, though, you can explore it and find lots of new prizes that come as rewards for quests and puzzles. Do your work before it arrives: it can keep you engaged for hours and even days.

These rewards include, for example, a new skin for Fischl which you can receive for collecting Phantasmal Conches. As always, there are extra Primogems, Hero’s Wit, and Mystic Enchantment Ore to earn. The new quests with such rewards have names like Cloudleisure Steps, Prismatic Rampart, Melodic Omamori, Gaze of the Deep, or The Raven Forum. And they are just as imaginative as their names suggest.

To participate, you need to reach Adventure Rank 32 or higher and to complete the Archon Quest “Chapter III: Prologue” and Mona’s Story Quest “Astrolabos Chapter: Act 1”. Then the storyline will take you further.
