Manage Your Online Store With Your Phone on a New App From Tiktok

TikTok has presented an app that expands the possibilities of the sellers who use TikTok Shopping features; it is currently up only in Indonesia. TikTok Seller will allow owners of TikTok shops to make changes to their stores directly from phones. It will include customer service inquiries, promotions of new campaigns, and some educational materials.

TikTok Seller was launched on December 3 in the AppStore and has already been available on the Android platforms since last month. Right now, the installing rates are about 17,000 in the Play Store and only below 1,000 for the iOS version.

It is natural that the app has only launched in Indonesia since the country is the main consumer of TikTok’s apps and the company itself is located there. TikTok’s spokesperson noted that their goal is to make the app more comfortable and friendly for brands and small businesses to promote their services.

This is not the first time TikTok tests its new campaigns in Indonesia. Previously the company introduced a “Seller University” website targeted to its Indonesian audience. It contained a guide on how brands and sellers can get started on TikTok and provided different promotion methods.

“TikTok Shopping tools” update also added a “Shopping” tab to business profiles, where sellers could add their catalogs to the profile. Now you can also refer to product pages in the video and highlight a certain product.

Currently, there is no news whether the TikTok Seller app will be added to any other markets rather than Indonesian. It will probably expand its shopping system worldwide to reach more interested audiences.
