Pokémon Unite Arrives on Mobile in September
Pokémon Unite, the Pokémon Company’s MOBA and first five-on-five strategic team battle title, will be up for grabs on mobile in September. Trainers have been enjoying the game on Nintendo Switch for about a month now. Starting from the end of September, Pokémon Unite will be accessible to iOS and Android users, making the game reachable for an even wider audience. Don’t stop reading if you want to know more about the topic.
Pre-registration has already kicked off both on Google Play Store and the App Store. If the number of pre-registered users hits 2,500,000, partakers will be granted the character license to play as Pikachu. Already have the Pikachu Unite license? Then you’ll get Aeos coins instead.
What’s even more exciting is that mobile players can have a blast participating in strategic team battles together irrespective of the device they use. With that said, yes, mobile players will get to play the game with Nintendo Switch enthusiasts, according to the Pokémon Company. Now that’s great news, wouldn’t you agree?
Aside from the cross-platform play, you’ll enjoy the following new perks of the soon-to-be-launched title:
-
battle à la mode: now you can dress up your Pokémon in a multitude of constantly changing holographic outfits;
-
voice chat: while playing Unite, make the most of instant-messaging and (the very first in a Pokémon game) voice chat to boost your team’s performance;
-
level up like a pro: take part in ranked matches, while earning points and rocketing up the global leaderboard!
Similar to the Switch edition, the core Unite game is free-to-play, with additional in-app purchases integrated. Along with the Unite rollout announcement, the Pokémon Company also revealed the next about-to-be-released Pokémons in the game: Sylveon and Mamoswine.
