PS Plus Adds Dying Light 2: Stay Human To Its Timed Demo Roster

Sony has dropped the news of another game demo being added to its ever-expanding roster of time-limited game trials that will be available to PlayStation Plus Premium and PlayStation Plus Deluxe users. We are talking about the mega-popular 2022 survival horror action RPG hit Dying Light 2: Stay Human by developer Techland. Available on both PS4 and PS5 platforms, the timed demo packs three hours of free play for PS Plus Premium subscribers and should remain on PlayStation Plus forever. Players who enjoy the game and decide to buy the full experience after exhausting their three free hours can pick up where they left off – the demo progress will be transferred smoothly to the full version.

When undergoing an overhaul earlier this year, Sony added a bunch of crucial features that completely changed how players interacted with the PS Plus service. In particular, it rolled out a brand-new functionality – time-limited game trials – to allow its Premium tier users to get a glimpse of and test some of the latest titles released on the platform. If consumers are unhappy with their chosen video game after playing the trial, they can simply choose not to purchase it. Another benefit of upgrading from PS Plus Essential or PS Plus Extra to Premium is that you can access the PlayStation's "Classics" catalog, promoting a wide range of well-known PS1, PS2, PS3, and PSP titles.

To butter up those non-Premium PS Plus subscribers, Sony has already made its October 2022 free games lineup available to download. The latest group includes titles like Hot Wheels Unleashed, Injustice 2, and Superhot – all playable across the PS4 and PS5 platforms.

Will you use the game trial feature to test Dying Light 2: Stay Human? Do you think it is unfair that the game demo is exclusive to PS Plus Premium subscribers only? Speak up in the comments below!
