Assassin’s Creed Valhalla had a great run but just like all good things, it is coming to an end. The players will get the final update of the game called Last Chapter this December. This doesn’t come as a surprise to players, as such plans of the developers have been known for a while.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla first became available to players in November 2020. After two years of support, Ubisoft has decided that it’s time to complete the story with the last content addition. It has been officially confirmed that the Last Chapter will become available in December of this year.

According to the information posted by Ubisoft, the plan is to release the final content on December 6th, and thus wrap up two years that the company continued to provide post-launch support. The developers also teased that the Last Chapter will bring some exciting content and a touching conclusion to the entire Eivor’s saga.

Because there will be no content after the Last Chapter, it also means that players won’t get New Game+ in this installment. Similarly, players won’t be able to enjoy Seasonal Festivals.
The main purpose of the Last Chapter is to bring closure to the game so that it feels complete and doesn’t leave you hanging.

Now that the Valhalla installment is coming to an end, Ubisoft will have an opportunity to focus its full attention on the upcoming title named Assassin's Creed Mirage. This game was allegedly planned to be just a Valhalla DLC but it turned into a full-on sequel over time. At the moment, we know that the game is planned to arrive sometime in 2023.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla can be played on PS5, PC, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Amazon Luna. Also, those who rely on Google Stadia to play this game will be able to continue playing it until January 18, 2023.
