New Drawing Features Coming to WhatsApp

WhatsApp continues to add new features to the app to remain relevant on the market of messaging services. There are a number of useful features that should become available soon, including Novi integration payments, multi-device support, and others. Now, the most recent feature that has come to our attention has to do with the drawing tools for videos and pictures.

According to WABetaInfo, there are three new drawing pencils in the image editor of Android beta. As suggested by icons, such pencils will offer you more choices when it comes to the thickness of lines. In the current version of WhatsApp, you can draw on images and videos with different colors, but there is no way to choose how thick the line would be. In addition to this feature, the company also works on developing a blurring tool for the app. With its help, you can censor certain parts of photos and screenshots easily before you send them to others without having to use third-party apps.

A number of other drawing tools are still under development, but no details have been provided on them. Also, there is no information when it comes to when new tools will become available. Any upcoming tools will have to go through the beta version first so they can be properly tested and then introduced to the official app.

It is obvious that the WhatsApp team is doing everything they can to stay afloat. While the company still has a huge number of users, the competition with Telegram is more relevant now than ever. The latter still offers a wider range of useful features compared to WhatsApp, but it is interesting to see where the Meta-owned app will go from here.

Do you use WhatsApp as your go-to messaging app? Are there any specific features that you wait to be added to the app? Please, tell us what you think in the comments below!
